11 Pandals You Must-Visit In Delhi To Experience The Best Of Durga Puja 2024
Maruti Vihar
First held in 1991, Maruti Vihar hosts one of the oldest Durga pujo pandals in Gurgaon. Easily accessible right off of MG Road, the puja draws thousands of visitors. They also call in artists from Kolkata. So, there's no doubt that the celebrations here will take place in true Bong spirit. The Durga Puja will be held from October 9 to October 13 this year!

CR Park, Mela Ground
CR Park during puja days has pujo pandals at every corner, but the most visited one remains the one in Mela Ground. This year is the 49th Durga Pooja celebration, which is happening from October 8 to October 13. As CR Park is also known for its food, indulge in homemade aloo poshto, begun bhaja and maacher jhol made by the residents in their own kitchens.

Kashmere Gate
One of the oldest Durga pujo pandals in the city, this is organised by the Delhi Durga Puja Charitable & Cultural Samiti every year (since 1910) in North Delhi. Their website isn't currently updated with the latest dates but we are sure they will be planning pujo just like every year.

Khanpur
The Khanpur Durga puja pandal, organised by South Delhi Durga Puja Samiti (Regd) is one of the youngest-yet-popular pujas. We’re looking forward to the various plays, and singing and dancing programs they've planned this year (including a handi bhanga event this year). Be a part of this celebration from October 9 to October 12. They have delicious Bengali cuisine, various cultural programs, and a variety of stalls to offer.

This incredible festival, organised by the Bangiya Parishad Gurgaon, is expected to be one of the largest in the National Capital Region! This time, they are going above and beyond to mark the occasion. The theme will be inspired by Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's book Barnaparichay. The interior will resemble the pages of this book. Aside from that, they will display a replica of India's T20 World Cup trophy to commemorate their win so you know its going to be OTT.

Safdarjung Enclave
The Matri Mandir Samiti will organise their 58th Durga Puja celebrations in Safdarjung Enclave, and we're stoked since it's not uncommon to see the pandal here, embellished with art, and sometimes artists are flown in all the way from Kolkata. The celebrations will be conducted from October 8 to October 12 and each day has some or the other musical performance for you to enjoy.

Mayur Vihar-1
In Mayur Vihar Phase 1, the Milani Puja Committee hosts grand Pujo celebrations with pandals that have the most unique themes. They’re also known for their stately pandals and the traditional evening aarti, which is as good as the ones you’d find in Kolkata. Head near Supreme Enclave Apartment to see this one. The celebration will go on from October 9 to October 13.

Timarpur And Civil Lines
Expect artistic idols and theme-based pandals at Timarpur Durga Pujo, which has been celebrated here for the past 100 plus years. It’s where you’ll get the typical Kolkata vibe seeped in culture and art. What’s more, they still carry the idol of Ma Durga to the place of immersion on an illuminated cart, as per ancient tradition. They are going all out this year with a number of competitions, from Anondo Mela to Quiz, Shonkho Dhwani to musical chairs, and more, they have got something for everyone at their 111th year celebration! Greater Kailash - II
Organised by the Durgotsab GK-2 committee, this pandal celebrates Durga Puja the Bonedi Pujo way (the way the affluent families of Kolkata used to celebrate in their houses). The celebrations promise an experience, with loads of dances, aartis, and grandeur, all from October 10 to October 12. While you are at it, don't miss on the delicious bhog prasadi.

Nivedita Enclave
Nivedita Enclave in Paschim Vihar has been hosting pujo celebrations for years for the residents. There's aarti, food, dancing and of course, crowds of people enjoying the festive spirit. The dates are yet to be disclosed do watch out for this space for more information.
