689 By The Quorum
689 (Six Eighty Nine), a new Japanese-inspired Asian dining with a live robata grill by The Quorum has opened in Gurugram. It gets its name from the bamboo skewers of varying lengths, traditionally used in Robatayaki, a Japanese cooking technique. Giving a nod to this heritage, the restaurants feature skewers measuring 6,8 and 9 inches, creating the distinctive name 689. Celebrating the culinary richness of the East, 689 offers everything from their healthy breakfast options paired with Subko coffee to flavourful Asian dishes, curated cocktails and delectable desserts. Their signature dishes have to be 'Wok hei' pastas, Gochugaru Fish & Chips, and the Flame-Kissed Avocado. What's more? The restaurant's interiors seamlessly combine modern aesthetics with the charm of the Orient. So, what are you waiting for? Head there now!

Call Me Ten
This new Japanese restaurant in Vasant Vihar had us at first look. Designed by Sanchit Arora and founded by Karann R Chawla, Akshay Shokeen and Angadh Singh, Call Me Ten is a concept like no other. The space's interiors lend a very calm atmosphere, with curved walls and a muted earthy colour theme. The menu includes soups, ramen, sushi, gyoza, donburi, grill options and other small plates. The place is divided into four floors; the first two are Level 0, where you can leisurely sip on cocktails and relish hot food in a laid-back vibe. Level 1 is an Omakase bar concept, where the bartender will present you with a cocktail of your liking after understanding your likes and dislikes. Above that is a covered terrace (so you can enjoy it in all seasons) with a tequila bar! We're fans of their Asparagus Tempura sushi, Spicy Tuna Tartare sushi and all the gyoza!

Monkey Bar
Monkey Bar recently reopened its doors, and we couldn’t be more excited. Expect the same old charm with a lovely menu that includes many Indian starters with a modern twist, flatbreads, burgers, and kickass cocktails. Its unique cone-like architecture definitely adds to the overall ambience as well. We tried the Butterfly Veg, which is crispy paneer and cheese tossed in a nostalgia-inducing black bean sauce, Wild Mushroom and Baby Mozzarella flatbread, and a decadent Nutella and Old Monk Cake, which was the perfect end to the perfect meal. For cocktails, try their Whey of Water, which has tequila, jalapeno-infused curd water, mushroom salt and is topped with tonic water. For something sweeter, give their Pardon our French a try, a simple yet flavourful gin drink.
