Add Ladakh To Your Travel List & Explore The Gorgeous Region This Month

What Makes It Awesome

As schools and colleges open this week, the best time to visit Ladakh is july till September. Plenty of sunshine and no rains. We saw fewer cars and all the crowd had disappeared. We stayed in Shey which is 15 km from Leh in a Ladakhi family's homestay/farm. It's quiet and peaceful and there's nature everywhere. Our tour was organised by 'To Travel With' included a 7 nights/8 days discovery of famous Buddhist monasteries, overnight stays in Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley, and Turtuk. The food made by our local hosts in Shey was brilliant. They gave us both vegetarian and great non-vegetarian options. The family was very friendly, homestay was clean, they spoke English, and took great care of us. We got to learn so much about the Ladakhi culture and food from them. Even our taxi {innova} was in good condition and the driver knew all the routes. He stopped whenever we wanted to take photos. I would recommend taking this tour with To Travel With.
