Not At All Messy
In spite of the aphrodisiac theme, nothing here is presented in a vulgar manner. However, the walls are adorned with paintings of beautiful, sultry women; the interiors are quirky yet chic. The place is quite spacious and we love the fact that it’s not dingy, like most of its counterparts. It was bustling with people even at early in the afternoon.
A Range Of Love
The menu screams fusion. The small range of their in-house speciality, Chur-Chur Pizza, impressed us much. We tried the Spicy Cheese Chur-Chur Pizza {cheddar, basil, fresh red chilli} and trust us when we say that it was heavenly. Pair their Dahi Kebab Drumsticks, {with creatively moulded bread} with the green chutney for best results.
If no outing of yours is complete without at least one bite of momo, the Hot Bean Chicken Steam Momo is there for you.
Seafood lovers have the very nice option of the Blended Herb Batter Sole sticks served with tartar dip. They have converted the Pad Thai into a salad which tasted okay, but is pretty pointless if you ask us. The Bourbon Smoked Honey Chicken, served with Jack Daniels’ smoke, is super pungent and smokey so order it only if you like extreme tastes.
Surprisingly, it was their Punjabi Butter Chicken which won us over. Order this with the Dal Makhani and butter naan for the time of your life.
For dessert, we had the chocolate cake topped with dark chocolate croutons, served on a flame; it looked impressive but when it came to taste, was overshadowed by the red velvet cake with vanilla ice cream.
Potions
The Imli Patola {Bacardi, Triple Sec, tamarind syrup} comes with a tamarind stick. It is a great option to go for; also try the Sparkling Daisy {beer, vodka, watermelon and rosemary}.
We even loved the Strawberry and Chocolate Martini {strawberry infused vodka and hint of dark chocolate) but we did not like the Rang De Basanti mocktail, mainly because of the overpowering cardamom flavour.
All in all, we'd say the food and drinks at HotMess certainly succeeded in putting us in the mood.
