Bangalore-based Caravan uses traditional Indian craftsmanship to create really modern jewellery, apparel and home decor products, while supporting Indian artisans.

The Clothes Rack

Clean cuts, simple lines, vibrant colours and neutral palettes all feature in Caravan’s apparel collection. From shrugs and jackets featuring zardozi work and crochet detailing, to kurtas with aari embroidery, ombre tunics and handwoven Jodhpuri pants, this range of clothing has us going gaga.

We particularly like the handwoven pleated shorts, this flare-sleeved handloom cotton shirt and this very regal-looking silk waist-coat. And the best part? Their sizes, cuts and fits are pretty inclusive, and go beyond XL.

Jewellery For The Soul

Caravan’s selection of jewellery includes necklaces and pendants, rings, bracelets, and earrings in delicate designs, handcrafted and embellished with stones that can be paired with traditional Indian outfits or western formals. The jewellery is really stunning as well as contemporary, but the prices are pretty steep.

They also specialise in jewellery created with Karnataka’s signature Bidri work, and create fusion patterns inspired by Moroccan motifs. This pair of earring with frosted silver beadsthis ruby stone plated bracelet, and this Dhokra necklace are among our favourites.

Ah, Toys!

Handcrafted toys anyway get us all too excited, and this collection even more so. From wooden knitters to cute showpieces featuring pigs and goats, these wooden beauties are too adorable to not chase. And the hedgehog fridge magnets are to die for!

On The Side

Caravan’s home decor products are an array of soothing tea light holders in pop colours, Marori wine glasses {we’re totally digging this one}, napkin rings and coasters. They also have great gifting options that include bluetooth speakers, passport holders and travel organisers made of leather, USB pen drives, clocks and paperweights. The craftwork used on their products also comprises Kalamkari, Jamdani, Mangalagiri, Kalamkari, Channapatna and many more.
