A Korean, shaved ice dessert for those super hot Indian afternoons – cool off with Bingsu from Sibang Bakery.

Bingsu For You

We love Sibang Bakery for its fresh, baked goodies and its amazing {strong} brews. If you go there often enough, you might have noticed people enjoying this big bowl of dessert called Bingsu. Visually, it is best described as ice cream’s distant cousin and Sibang currently offers two types of bingsu; for the uninitiated two is good too. Choose from the traditional Red Bean Bingsu and, for when you need that added kick, a Coffee Bingsu.

What's In The Bowl?

Typically, bingsu is a mound of shaved ice topped with sweetened milk, fresh as well as sweetened fruits, syrups and red beans. At Sibang Bakery, it comes with an added scoop of ice cream on top. Talk about making a good thing great! The taste is subtle with sweet, fresh flavours. What we love is that bingsu doesn’t feel as heavy as ice creams and gelatos {not that we won’t be having those, c’mon!}, and the chopped fruits on top kind of cuts out any guilt factor.

So, We're Saying...

Bingsu makes us feel like we’re eating semi-healthy and we’re completely hooked. We only wish they’d experiment with more flavours, as temperatures in the city continue to rise.
