A couple of days ago, our Instagram exploded with Big Fat Sandwich’s pizza wing opening up in Safdarjung Market. Little did we know that it also meant a chance encounter with our favourite cold brew guys from Kaffa Cerrado and eating The Bombaykery’s Nutella Sea Salt Cookies.

What Makes It Awesome

This hipster cafe sticks to the familiar format with sparse walls, wooden furniture and plants everywhere. And, truth be told, we’re not getting tiring of this ‘minimal’ look anytime soon. The fact that it also happens to be in a quiet corner of town, is making this a cafe we’d love to hit up for a breakfast date.

Salads, buttery and soft as they could be garlic bread, bruschetta and a lot of usual suspects on the menu have a tough task of upholding the Big Fat Sandwich. While it remains to be seen if they live up to the brand’s big shoes, we thoroughly enjoyed our wholesome and summery chicken salad at 11am and Kaffa’s single origin coffee made everything that much better.

The classic croissant was baked to perfection, and had the ability to support our strong glass of iced latte really come to life. We learnt that Kaffa sources its beans from the lushest plantations down South or from Brazil, Colombia and more coffee-producing estates internationally. They then lovingly grind small batches in their Okhla roastery to ensure that everyone’s morning and evening cuppa smells and tastes great. The cappuccino was right on brief when we asked for it to be on the milkier side. In all, we’re go back to try more to eat and drink.

Our two cents: Everyone we know has been making us regret not trying their Margherita pizza.
