5 Farm Stays Near Delhi Which Are Safer Than Crowded Places

The information in this post might be outdated

Fresh air, huts, lots and lots of green grass and beautiful scenery (maybe a couple of animals, too); farm stays are a great way to get away from the busy city life (AKA working from home) and reconnect with nature. All these farms are under 2 hours away from the city, plus with limited number of bookings and rooms available, they’re safer than typical getaways. Check them out!

Disclaimer: If you do choose to travel, please keep in mind that while places are cleaned according to sanitisation standards, you should still keep a mask on and maintain social distancing.

Omera The Farm Stay

Mud huts with the comfort of an air-conditioner, Omera The Farm Stay is about an hour’s drive away in Gurgaon with a pool, outdoor gym and a big garden where they serve incredible (and organic) breakfast. They’re also pet-friendly so you won’t need to leave your furry friend behind.

Price: INR 5000 a night (approx.)

PS- they’re also a popular pick for small weddings now so book in advance

Satya Jyoti Farms

If you're looking for an escape from all those Zoom calls and Whatsapps and emails, well, Satya Jyoti Farms is probably your best bet. Life seems to slow down to a tranquil pace here (probably to match the not-so-fast internet) but for those of us who've wondered what life would be without all the stress, a dip in their fish pond, a nice night spent in the eco-hut and organic homemade meals is the closest we'll get. You can volunteer to help out with the farm activities or just make new (animal) friends.

Price: INR 1,200 per night

Farm House

With this farm in Gurgaon, you can book literally the entire bungalow for yourself. You'll spot a few peacocks in the huge open space, there's a running track, badminton and basketball court, ton of lush greenery (there's a fruit orchard behind the main house) and swings for kids. There's no on-call cook though so you'll either have to order in or cook your own meals.

Price: INR 3,250 per night

The Barn

This Chhatarpur farm is so close you could literally make it there without needing to stop at a petrol station (uh, but make sure you have enough when you leave.) Unlike the typical farm stays, this one isn't so rustic, rather the cottage is tastefully decorated with modern furniture, full-stocked kitchenette but still feels super idyllic and relaxed. The bonfires, horse riding and lots of light make this one an awesome peaceful getaway, especially for couples.

Price: INR 4,614 per night
