White walls and wooden furniture are a match made in hipster heaven. Add to that an all day breakfast menu and tea by the pot and we got a winner. So, if you’re in Hauz Khas Village feeling a little overwhelmed by what it’s become, seek refuge in The Tea Room By Blossom Kochhar. The menu features a lot of options that use fresh flowers and herbs.

Calm In A Teapot
This little slice of joy is possibly one of the sweetest smelling places around {we probably have Ms Kochhar’s love for fragrances}. They’ve got an extensive tea and coffee menu that’s got everyone from a tea purist to a well-read vegan covered. Yes, there’s a visible slant towards healthy eats {wheat grass shots, low fat dressings and all} but they serve amazingly indulgent spiced coconut crepes and hot chocolate too because hey, what’s life without a cheat day?
We suggest you take some time out from office and indulge in some me-time TLC. Treat yourself for being a good daughter or a sincere employee by ordering a quintessential pahadi chai {honey lemon or cinnamon, you choose} and for a few brief moments, you can forget about all the madness that surrounds you.
Make sure you plan a bunch of visits – their library is well-stocked and the menu’s got so much you can try. Know what we’re going for? Gingerspiced cookie and Blackcurrant Iced Tea. Yum.
So, We're Saying...
Call dibbs on the window seat, order yourself filter coffee and cookies and read for hours. You might even bump into us on an exceptionally rainy day.
PS: The tea boutique isn’t going to hurt your poor pocket. To give you an idea, the South Indian Filter Coffee comes at INR 59 and an authentic Danish Hot Dog at INR 140. You just need to make choices wisely.
