What Is It?

The Rotary Club of Southend Next and National Association for the Blind {NAB} are organizing a citywide treasure hunt this Sunday in New Delhi called the Braille Trail. It’s a unique and interactive car rally where teams are provided with a clue sheet written in Braille and a visually impaired person navigates the driver in each car. The cars race for the finish line by solving route clues along the way.

Who Is It For?

It’s open to everyone. Registration is INR 6,000 per car, which includes participation in the race for two people and a brunch with open bar after the event.

Why Should I Go For It?

Other than being a ridiculously fun way of spending your Sunday, this event is being held for a great cause. It will help raise awareness about the visually impaired and the daily challenges faced by them. And the proceeds collected will be donated to NAB to help fund technology training for visually impaired children.
The Braille Trail was first held in New Delhi in 2012 where 53 cars and 250+ people gathered for a very successful and first-of-its-kind event. A whopping INR 5.4 lakhs were raised that were used to fund the power backup for the NAB computer center in RK Puram.

Anything Else?

The registration fee includes two people per car. But you can always take another friend along for an additional supplement of INR 2,000.

The race is expected to last for about 2-3 hours and it will flag off at 10 AM at Park Inn by Radisson, Lajpat Nagar.

When: March 26, 2017

Price: INR 6,000 per car
