House of Masaba, the OG lovechild of Masaba Gupta is all about quirky prints, edgy designs and contemporary silhouettes. Hailing from an Indo-Caribbean background, and debuting at the Lakme Fashion Week only at the age of 19, Masaba has taken all the inspiration from her life, pumping it into her brand that screams prints, monochrome, and fuss-free clothes for the modern Indian women. She's constantly experimenting and expanding, the latest being the launch of her beauty and wellness brand, Love Child (read more about it here)

But since we're talking about her apparel line, here are 7 brands that do just as good a job as the queen of prints.

Chidiyaa

Bright, bold and with lots of prints. That’s pretty much Masaba for you. But wait, it’s also Chidiyaa! We love that Chidiyaa not only offers trendy designs and contemporary silhouettes, but that they do so using very traditional crafts, techniques and local inspiration. Sustainable and eco-friendly, Chidiyaa's clothes are designed in-house and handmade by artisans from villages across the country. Ideal for dreamers and doers, their sarees, dresses, kurtis, blouses as well as bottoms and wraps come in silks, mul mul and are easy-breezy. We love that their dresses come with pockets! Currently though, we’re tripping on their crop tops (like this one), the dragon fly dresses (this pink one is our favourite) as well as the entire collection of black-ish outfits called Kohl

Prices start at INR 1,490.

Chique

Similar Masaba vibes but slightly lesser pricing points? No wonder we are picking Chique. The online women's fashion brand has flowy dresses and cute tops along with collections that are print-heavy. The Bloom'In Hues is one collection you need to check out if you love loud, colourful, and floral prints. You must check out their long dresses and tunics. Their range of shirts are a definite wardrobe essential. Find prints, embellishments, and modern silhouttes on these shirts -- the Opada Lilac Zip-up shirt is one such piece. Also, the Carrot Bandhej shirt is such a cute number.

Prices start at INR 999 upwards

If prints are what you love House of Masaba for, then you’ll be very pleased with the collection at Ekaya Banaras. From Banarasi silk sarees and lehengas to digital printed lehengas that look so far from anything a machine could ever produce, everything Ekaya does screams unique elegance. They’ve even got pantsuits in silk fabrics, which look so cool. What is also great is that their website has ease of navigation, and you can browse their collection based on fabric, print, or general outfit categories. However, we recommend Ekaya if what you are looking for is full-on, out-there, festive looks.
