Breathe: Hand Embroidered Apparel in Noida

A fashion label started by two NIFT graduates, Breathe makes hand embroidered maxis, tunics and Indian wear, all heavily inspired by nature.

Having met while working at Pankaj and Nidhi, designers Aakanksha Singh and Nupur Srivastava decided to venture out on their own with their brand, Breathe. They make a lot of readymade apparel, including dresses, tunics and jackets, but you can also call on them for customised pieces. The first thing that catches your eye is the ‘realness’ of the needlework on the dresses, jackets and kameezes. Inspired by nature, the hand embroidery closely resembles leaves and flowers.

They work on a variety of fabrics, ranging from Chanderis to cotton blends, soft nets to fine polyester mixes of georgettes, chiffons and crepes. Just a heads up: The apparel isn’t daily wear at all but statement pieces that make, well, a statement.
