Brekkie Counters, Fresh Produce & Jeans, This Sunday Organic Market Has Everything

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

Delhi Organic Farmers’ Market is a weekly bazaar bringing together organic farmers and vendors around the city. Having been around longer than the most, this one has been a permanent fixture at The Park every Sunday. The also look over and beyond just fresh food produce and now have skincare, clothes and hands-on cooking workshops.

Who Is It For?

Vegan soaps, lentils, spices, organic tea and coffee, vegan jeans, artisanal cheese, cakes and bakes, wooden furniture, and breakfast counters dishing out warm thalis {everything from makki ki roti and saag to litti choka and muesli} and smoothies… There’s everything for a fun day of shopping and chilling under the sun. It’s a good place to hit up if you’re hoping to start living a healthier, happier life by being kinder to yourself and the environment.

In fact, it’s a great place for families, because they’ll occasionally also host street magicians or toy-making workshops with recycled materials.

Why Should I Go For It?

You’re going to be in a familiar space with brands who are regulars, including Tijara Organic Farm, Slurrp Farm, 4S Organic Milk, Korra Jeans, Paushtaa, Muskaan Jaivik SHG, Societe Naturelle. Don’t let this fool you into thinking that it’s going to be a boring affair. Apart from newer participants who keep making an appearance, they switch things up with a one-off pool day, puppetry, make-your-own pizzas and more.

Plus, there’s the additional feel-good factor of knowing that you’re helping farmers and primary food producers have a better life.

Anything Else?

Even though it happens almost every weekend, it’s good to check on their Facebook page for exactly what they’re planning, and to be sure that they’re on for the day you intend to go.
