This city we call home is massive - enormous even, and yet there are certain areas that have become hubs of activity that people naturally gravitate to. You know these spots, mostly in South Delhi, like Hauz Khas Village and GK 1. While this is well and good if you're a South Delhi resident, living in the other corners of the city and having to make the trip every time you want to unwind may prove to be a bit of a task, and High Street Cafe is looking to remedy just that - at least for you West Dilliwallas.
Inspired by themed cafes in Britain, High Street Cafe features exposed red brick interiors {which always make comforting backdrops} and polished wooden furniture. The perfect combination for a cozy evening with friends, old or new. Their menu consists of both Indian and Continental fare, sometimes dabbling in fusion. They have quirky offerings in jars, flavoured hookah's, and a whole lot of enthusiasm thrown in. They've also worked sufi and Bollywood music into their playlists, which has been a huge hit so far!
When you walk into High Street, what will hit you first will be the strong wave of nostalgia. The ambience is reminiscent of Turquoise Cottage, and instantly transports you to your younger days of discovering the concept of drink, dine and hookah. They've tapped into a foolproof formula, and if you live that side of town, or find yourself in the neighbourhood - it's definitely worth visiting.
