Bumpadum was started in 2016 by Anuradha Rao after realising how much waste she was sending out just in disposable diapers for her baby daughter. Each baby generates more than 1 TON of toxic landfill waste from years 0-3, the diapering years. When we multiply this by the number of babies being born in India especially in urban areas, the solid waste impact of diapers is shocking. Bumpadum was created to give parents a diapering option that will work with modern lifestyles, yet is sustainable.
Bumpadum is India's first modern cloth diaper manufacturing company. They make cloth diapers that are not only reusable and waterproof but also keep the baby dry and comfortable. These diapers are known for their high quality, performance and super cute prints.
The products are manufactured in Bangalore, employing local garment workers. They sell the products on their website as well
It’s a simple conscious effort for new parents to take up cloth diapers. This is a step we should all take to become as close to a zero-waste community as possible.
