Bungalow 99 is a homestay that lets you choose a room or a whole apartment for a comfy stay in Delhi. It’s close to popular hangout places, is well-appointed, and has a kitchen that you can use for making quick sandwiches and coffee (They stock Devans).
Bathed in pristine white and specks of colour, the interiors are legit #DecorGoals. It all falls into place when we read that they’ve been done by Pio Coffrant, the person behind the stunning interior design of Lchang Nang Retreat in Ladakh and La Bodega in Khan Market. The house looks like a plush European cafe or an avant-garde art gallery. The apartment can take a total of six folks (in three rooms) and comes with a living room, a wonderful verandah, and a library. Meals can be prepared on request, cabs can be arranged and laundry can be taken care of.
You have the man in charge, Aditya to thank for all this impeccable organisation and obsession with detail. He makes sure he visits daily to ensure there’s not a strand out of place. The plan to have every room fitted with an air purifier or choosing the softest pillows goes on to show how much little things matter to the hosts of Bungalow 99.
Each of their rooms looks like something out of an interior company’s catalogue. The Green Room has a tropical theme going with its quirky furnishings and a tall peepal tree visible from the window. Then, there’s the Blue Room that comes with a soothing bathtub and walk-in shower. The third, Red Room, is a calming mix of warm pinks and a soft glow from its beige elements. No matter which one you pick, we see a lot of natural light streaming through the windows and an unmistakable charm that’s hard to find when everyone’s going all dramatic and OTT.
