Grab a Plate Full of Ammo at Bunker, Gurgaon

Bunker, located in Crosspoint Mall, Gurgaon is an army-themed restaurant offering dishes such as Hot Wings, Nachos and a killer breakfast platter.

As the name suggests, the interiors of Bunker are inspired by the army, with accessories ranging from hand grenade salt shakers and gun-shaped door handles to lamps in the shape of helmets.

Adding to the charm are walls and tables adorned with rare pictures and intriguing facts about the Indian Army. One of the cosy corners of the restaurant flaunts a cute little bar which offers a plethora of drinks.

In an exclusive talk with the owners of Bunker, they shared with us their special collaboration with another restaurant on the first floor of the same mall, Eat@Joe’s so much so that Bunker’s list of specials {which is referred to as The Chief’s Menu} also incorporates dishes from there.

We started with the Nachos Salad: Lettuce mixed in mayo and crispy nachos with a drizzle of barbeque sauce on the sides of the dish for aesthetic appeal; the portion was big enough for three. We did feel there was something missing, though.

Next, we indulged in four different types of chicken wings: Barbeque, Hot Sauce, Honey Mustard and Teriyaki and every one of them were mind-blowing. {Stay away from the Hot Sauce if you can’t handle too much spice}. The Fish in Lemon Butter Sauce melted as soon as it went into our mouths- this was also beautifully plated with sliced tomato and fries on the side.

If you had a wild night and seek something to redeem yourself, look no further than the Hangover Buddy: Two pieces of toast, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, bacon, and a huge pancake and a waffle covered in syrup and butter with a side of vanilla ice cream. This is the real breakfast of champions.
