It all started with a hobby of drying and pressing flowers. This hobby soon turned into a pretty homegrown brand which marries this hobby with art and decor. Called The Crimson Shop, this e-store which specialises in pressed flower decor and wall art was kickstarted in 2018 by Leena Bhagwat. She soon realised that this hobby and beauty surely needed more eyeballs, rather than being kept away in books. And trust me, each and every piece resembles timeless beauty, minimalism at its finest and elegance. She started off small and popularized her creations within her social circle. And of course, the beauty of her pressed flowers received praise and requests which kept pouring in. And since then, there was no looking back and there started the journey of The Crimson.
So here's how it works.
Real flower specimens are responsibly gathered from the roadside, personal gardens and florists. After that, step two. Which is pressing them for long period to retain the structure and colour. And then, these pieces are handcrafted with love and a bunch of talented hands into art pieces using unique and alluring arrangements. Think stunning wall plates, frames, greeting cards, lamps and more. Their pricing starts from INR 1,200 and goes up to INR 15,000.
Fun fact: since each leaf and bloom are unique in nature, no two pieces are the same.
