Edible Routes and Deev Datta are collaborating in November to bring young adults closer to nature. You don’t have to travel far and beyond, this all will happen in the city! A day spent outdoors learning to work with hands, survive the outdoors and observe the enigma that nature is.
Camp In The City: Build A Shelter, Go Farming, & Learn About Nature This November
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Young adults between the age of 11 to 15. As Richard Louv says, humans have Nature Deficit Disorder, especially children who spend less time outdoors and more time gaming or being social on the internet. If this is the case, you need to go for this trip down the not-so-yellow brick road.
Why Should I Go?
Because your inner Bear Grylls needs a moment to shine! This day of nature immersion will bring new learnings and experiences. Users will get a chance to build a shelter, explore natural elements, work in the soil and learn about growing food and harvesting. There will be lots of fun and interactive sessions to look forward to.
Anything Else?
Bring a curious mind, comfy clothes that you are fine with getting dirty, closed shoes, bottles of water, a small knife, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Once you sign up, you will get a list of things that you need to get along. What should you NOT get on this trip? Your mobile phone! No snaps, selfies or stories for this is experience time. This is for young turks, so parents and guardians can come along for the briefing and check out the location but then the outdoor party will be taken care of by the experienced facilitators including Deev.
