Listen up, South Delhi folks, Delhi's iconic Burger chain, Captain G's Burger Company is providing free homestyle meals for the elderly suffering from Covid-19 in South Delhi. This is a charitable drive organized by Captain G's in collaboration with Kitchen For Senior Citizens.
If your grandparents are affected by the virus or if you know of any elderly people in your neighbourhood who are in need, then you can get proper meals delivered to them. The best part about this (apart from the fact that it's free) is that every meal is prepared keeping in mind the dietary restrictions of the Covid-19 infected patients. All you're required to do is connect with them over WhatsApp; send in some basic details like name, address, ID, the number of meals, number of days and you're good to go. The food is prepared using fresh ingredients which are procured by their team.
Their menu is as homely and comforting as it can get. All kinds of Dals, Ghiya Tamatar Sabzi, Palak Paneer, Kadhi, Soyabean Nuggets Curry, Beans Aloo and lots more - their menu differs each day of the week. Along with staple dal-sabzi-roti, they also provide sprout salads, mint chutneys and curd. The meals are free, you're only required to pay a delivery fee of INR 75 which is pretty economical given the fact that you're going to get healthy, comfort food straight at your doorsteps.
It's a great initiative to combat food insecurity and issues among the elderly. Not only is it cost-effective, but also extremely safe and hygienic.
