Even though not easily available in India, CeraVe products have been in the know of everyone who has even a little idea about skincare. Their facewashes and moisturising creams are considered one of the best available in the market, and I’ve been a huge fan too. I got my hands on their renewing salicylic face wash, which has quickly become an irreplaceable part of my routine. Ngl, though, the only three ways to get your hands on one of CeraVe's products in India is 1. you pay double the price, 2. get handed fakes or 3. ping your relatives abroad. So, in the interest of time and to make life a little easy, I found alternatives to their bestselling range.

Earth Rhythm Restore Hydrating Cream Cleanser
The CeraVe hydrating cleanser contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which work to hydrate and nourish dry skin. It cleans dirt and impurities whilst mainting the skin barrier, just like the Earth Rhythm Restore Hydrating Cream Cleanser. Both have a non-foaming formula, more like a cream or lotion, and are extremely gentle on the skin.

Globus Salicylic Acid Face Wash
The Globus facewash is a great budget find for CeraVe’s SA facewash. They both have the goodness of Salicylic Acid in them, which works to reduce acne and unclog pores. The Globus facewash additionally has glycolic acid, another exfoliant that gently exfoliates for glowing skin.

Re'equil Moisturiser
If you have dry skin then you must check out Re’equil’s moisturiser. This one has hyaluronic acid and ceramides, just like CeraVe Daily Moisturising Lotion. It’s non-comedogenic (won’t clog your pores), is dermatologically tested and is also free from sulphates, parabens and mineral oils, which is always a good thing.
Alternative To: CeraVe Daily Moisturising Lotion
Cetaphil Moisturising Cream
We’ve seen Cetaphil and CeraVe being compared time and again, and to certain extent both of these brands are considered interchangeable too, so it was inevitable adding Cetaphil product on the list. The Cetaphil Moisturising Cream helps improve and maintain your skin barrier and claims to work as a humectant (attracts water) and an emollient (helps smoothen skin).
Alternative To: CeraVe Moisturising Cream
Neutrogena Oil Free Face Moisturizer SPF 15
The Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer is non-comodegic, lightweight and has SPF 15 (we suggest using SPF separately also) and makes for a good alternative for the AM Lotion by CeraVe. Both of these products have been dermatoligically tested and do a good job of keeping your skin hydrated. The only differences here are that CeraVe provides better sun protection of SPF 30 (but we all know better to apply it separately anyway) and contains actives like ceramides and hylrauinic acid, which are lacking in Neutrogena.
Alternative To: CeraVe AM Facial Moisturising Lotion with Sunscreen
Dr. Sheth's Haldi & Hyaluronic Acid Sleeping Mask
A night lotion or sleeping mask is essential for repairing daily damage and actively helping with anti-ageing. Dr. Sheth’s products have been formulated especiialy for Indian skin types. This sleeping mask has worked wonders for me. The formula is non-sticky and quick absorbing, you wake up to plump, fresh, hydrated skin in the morning. It’s a good alternative to the PM lotion by CeraVe, which also has hyaluronic acid and works to restore your skin overnight.
