New Friends Colony has always had some underrated gems when it comes to food, so we checked out Nazeer Delicacies; if Indian and Mughlai is what you’re craving, look no further.
Chow Down On Changezi Chicken At Nazeer Delicacies
Shortcut
Lowdown On Ambience
The restaurant is located on the first floor and can seat around 28 people. The place reminds you of similar restaurants in and around Jama Masjid, but we think that the vibe does well for the place. The seats are comfy and nice and you get a taste of the Nawabi and Mughlai grandeur.
The owner, Mr Arham makes sure that you get to have a great experience there, as well as helps you out with what to order.
Burra-illiant
We started with the mutton burra kebabs and they were the best we’ve had for some time now. We also tried the tangri kebabs,{minced chicken with cashew on the tangri} and the chicken just melted in our mouths.
But the show stealer was the changezi chicken. It has a mildly sweet flavour in its thick gravy and it went so well with the tandoori rotis {we wanted to go for round two}. For dessert we tried the phirni which is always a favourite for us. They also have some amazing mutton dishes to try out, the mutton stew being popular.
The best part is that all the recipes are age-old and have been handed down and passed on within the family, so you can be rest assured that the food is as authentic as it can get.
Anything Else?
Seating might be difficult to get on weekends as it’s a smaller restaurant, so we suggest you get there a little early. Even if you do end up waiting; it’s totally worth it.
So We're Saying
If you’re in New Friends Colony, skip Al Bake, and go for for some delish mutton stew or Chicken Changezi.
