Conceptualised by the first woman wine entrepreneur, Shaambhavi Hingorani, SDU set up its first vineyard in 2003 at the quaint Nandi Valley region. They own two plots of vineyards in the Chikkaballapur district – one at ID Halli and the other at TG Halli - totalling 50 acres. Their TG Halli vineyard is the most scenic one, situated on the east bank of Tippaganahalli Lake, overlooking the Makli Hill. Apart from offering customised tours and tastings, they also sell their homegrown bottles on the website, with variants like Deva, Reserva, Trilogy and WMS.
