Located in a remote area in Dwarka, Hi Kolkata serves and delivers yummy, authentic Bengali cuisine.

Dish out the fish

With a menu filled with dishes made with rui {rohu}, pabda, katla, aar maach {river catfish}, bhetki {barramundi}, ilish, and chital, Hi Kolkata is certainly a fish lover’s haven, especially because of the wide range of preparations they serve.

We hear their Rui Macher Kalia is hot, spicy, and tastes like home. The Shorshey Bata Diye Bhetki Maach {bhetki fish cooked in mustard sauce} fell just short of the amazing versions we’ve tried at Bengali homes, but was tasty nonetheless. For non-curry options, try their awesome Fish Chops or Chingri Machor Chop.

Veg out

Vegetarians, fret not, there are plenty of options aside from fish available here. If we were you, we’d go ahead and order the Aloo Posto {potatoes cooked with poppy seeds & mustard} without a second thought. Want more? They have Jhuri Aloo Bhaja, Aloo Phoolkopir Jhol, and many other dishes to choose from.

We were not too impressed by the location of the restaurant, or the interiors, so you might want to get the food delivered home. They tend to take their own sweet time to get the food to you, so we suggest you plan accordingly.

PS: You can buy raw fish from their shop located right below the restaurant.
