Rajesh and Ritesh Prasanna come from a family of celebrated musicians, and pure, unadulterated talent flows through their veins. From a gharana of shehnai players for over two and a half centuries, they trained in flute playing and are much lauded in this field now. Their recitals are methodical, with a consistency in sur and laya the hallmark of their playing. They have not only imbibed the subtle nuances of the Benaras Gharana but also present them in a very beautiful way and are at ease with modes like Thumri, Chaiti, Kajri and Dhun and play them with equal aplomb and telling effects.
