On a hot summer afternoon I spotted a new space in The Dhan Mill compound. The orange-hued wall with an embossment of a mythological creature is what piqued my curiosity, the second I entered, my jaw dropped.

While Delhi has its fair share of artsy experiential stores, nothing compares to this one. The massive open and airy space (sprawling across 4,000 square feet) has a stunning sculptural tree light with blown glass bulbs as its backdrop, which becomes the focal point of the space.

We love how the interior elements are kept simple and have a barn-like feel with the slanted thatched ceiling. It fits perfectly with the store's minimal and uncomplicated design approach because it serves as the ideal canvas for their creations on display. Each of the store's sides features three rows of beautiful hand blown glass pieces. The backlit off-white marble's luminous effect softly lights up the translucent glass creations, creating a medley of illumination that is a visual treat.

When it comes to the pieces, the brand's artisanal hand blown gifting range of collectibles and souvenirs combines modern and traditional elements. You'll see symbols that are deeply rooted in tradition, such as a Nandi sculpture made of blown glass in a luminescent ivory hue, but with a modern twist, featuring a contemporary silhouette that combines tradition and sophistication. Another figurine that caught our eye was the Nimbu Mirchi sculpture, made of colourful blown glass and a modern take on the traditional good luck charm that wards off evil. Not only are these perfect for adding some traditional-esque edgy touch to your home, but make for the perfect gifts for friends and family. Aside from the sculptures and figurines, there are several innovative lamps with clean, contemporary designs (because not everything attractive has to be complex).

We love how the brand has picked up the ancient technique of hand-blown glass and put a spin on it with their contemporary dimension. Additionally, how they find inspiration in the most common objects that often go unnoticed and spotlighting the Indian culture without moving away from their creative identity. More so, their store in Dhan Mill is a sight for the sore eyes so definitely check it out the next time you are there. Even if its for the sake of window shopping.
