In a universe where the shopping world caters majorly to women, two guys, artist animator Ravi Rana and graphic designer Valmik Babbar, are out to make a difference with their men’s only clothing line called Contraband clothing. A cheeky name (we assure you there’s nothing illegal about them), the label is all about funky t-shirts.
Although Rana is partial towards pop-culture and vintage when he’s designing, Contraband caters not only to vintage lovers but has something for everyone (everyone who wears t-shirts at least). From sci-fi to LOTR to arbitrary mythological, fantasy trippy designs, they have it all.
The duo aims to share their passion for various art forms through their clothes. The t-shirts themselves are 100% cotton, checked personally for quality, dyed in a range of colours that appeal to your taste, and put online for you to pick and wear.
What we really loved about Contraband is that they’ve gone ahead and named all their shirts, giving them that special personal touch. So you will find Grumbles, Drifter, Baba and even Narasimha when you’re perusing their collection.
