Sukhi and Sofia hated the lack of wholesome cafes around Corbett National Park. So, they decided to start one themselves and while they were cooking up a storm in the kitchen, they decided to add a few rooms and turn this into a one-of-a-kind retreat. It lies at the fringe of the park, in village Dhela.

Always Under The Bright Blue Skies...

The couple that calls the shots here are foodies at heart. They love experimenting, and most of their food is made from local farm produce that’s grown and nurtured with a lot of care. Sophia, we hear, is also a talented baker who can whip up desserts like no one’s business and who can turn down the offer of a stack of waffles or a chocolate mud cake {yum}.

Cold coffee and banana chocolate cake, a pizza, noodles, a cutely assembled burger and a full menu of Indian, Continental, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and American dishes. Bonus: You’ll be looking at a wide expanse of the field. Actually, truth be told, we’re actually more likely to hang around on these bar stools, soaking in a slice of Goa, {isn’t this so shack-like?} sipping ABC juices like a villain.

If the weather is nice, they can also put out your hipster cot in the open so you can stargaze for real. If that’s too hardcore, we’d really suggest having a meal or two under the bright blue sky at least. Because hey, what good is this homestay if you aren’t even making use of all their cute, outdoorsy corners?

We have to confess that the rooms aren’t bathed in luxury but they are clean, comfortable and they offer hot showers. Plus, we’re hoping you’ll spend the day exploring the park or at least bird-watching at the homestay. And OMG, please look at this Finnish Sauna and the adorable doggos that’ll follow you around all day. With these two, we rest our case.

So, We're Saying...

Since it’s not a full service hotel, don’t just land up demanding a meal. A call in advance so they can prep up is the least they expect. If you’re nice enough, they also work around your dietary limitations and food allergies.
