Three hours from Delhi, in the heart of the country, there’s something brewing. Beer, to be precise, and White Rhino Brewing Co.’s Lager and Belgian-Style Witbier {Wheat Beer} is now available for all you beer aficionados in Gurgaon to sip on.

Chin, Chin!

While you gulp down this wonderful piece of news, here’s what you need to know about India’s first craft brewery and the locally produced beer.

A labour of love, White Rhino Brewing Co. has it’s base of operations in Gwalior. The ingredients are carefully sourced {malts and hops that come from the United States and beer-guzzling-nation, Germany}, the facility is equipped with kegging and bottling machinery that comes from the Czech Republic and their head brewer, James Garstang, comes with the experience of working at Camden Town Brewery, Partizan and The Kernel.

From grain to glass, White Rhino’s biggest strength is the freshness of their beers. Locally produced brews that match exacting global standards – that’s the goal.

Is It Happy Hour Yet?

Their Munich Lager is an all-German Lager, brewed with authentic ingredients and matured for over a month. In contrast, the Belgian-Style Witbier, is brewed using Indian-rolled wheat and fresh organic coriander seeds, all the way from the Himalayas, that makes for a beautifully complex, fragrant bottle of beer.

If you’re thinking, “That’s great, but where can I get my hands on some of that beer?” we have you covered. Currently, you can pick up your bottle of White Rhino beer at any Mahalaxmi theka across Gurgaon, or at The Beer Cafe outlets in G-Town.

Over the next two-three weeks, the beer should be available at most other F&B outlets, that side of town. The bottles retail for INR 150 each.
