Since it popped up a few months ago in Vasant Vihar, Bohème has become the area’s go-to spot for work, banter and some wholesome food. It doesn’t stick to any one cuisine; this place features items and dishes it most identifies with.

The where and when
We loved Bohème when it was in Hauz Khas, and we love it more now that it’s in Vasant Vihar. Entering into the comfy rustic interiors, one always knows what to expect. It’s usually fresh, wholesome food, cushy sofas and a nostalgia-inducing playlist. Bohème also prides itself on being a hub for artists; up and coming independent musicians can be found strumming here on Wednesdays and Fridays, and artwork is lined up on the walls for sale {moonlighting as decor}.
Food of the gods
Bohème welcomes you with a complimentary bread platter accompanied by Beetroot Hummus, Kaffir Lime Butter {<3} and the Olive Tapenade. With the eclectic yet comforting offerings, the food complements the ambience perfectly. The ingredients used are fresh and healthy, and the bar has drinks we’ve never even heard of. All our friends rave about the sangria, but we recommend the Orange and Lime Cooler, and the unusual Paan Mojito.
Seafood soirees
Speaking of unusual, we were presented with the Sweet Prawn Moilee, which was a typical Keralite dish with a twist of saccharine. We suggest you order the Malabar Parotta to go with it. The Zesty Prawns were on the rarer side and a bit undercooked, but the Pesto and Mustard Fish made up for it doubly. There are couscous and veggie variants for those sticking to the healthy camp, and fortunately, Bohème also does some healthy desserts. While the Buckwheat Crepes were tempting, we stuck to the South Indian theme and tried the coconut puff with ice-cream. And let us assure you that we’re absolutely nutty about it.
The homey-ness of Bohème makes it an excellent choice for getting some quiet downtime, doing some work or even a comfy first date {especially with a winning terrace}. There rooftop is now open and has a really cute windmill adorning it. When are you getting up there?
