Dameriino Shoes For Men Who Are Both Formal And Funky

Aditya posted on 7th February

Ten-Second Takeaway

Check out shoe brand Dameriino for a line of handcrafted leather shoes that blur the lines between playful and serious.

Who Are They?

Dameriino is a handcrafted leather shoe brand with affordable prices, clean designs and a nice blend of style. The shoes tend to be a combination of formal, stylish, youthful and unconventional. They launched with three small collections – Lofty Comfort, Luxe Brigade, and Modern Classics.

We spent a week {and the entire weekend} wearing Dameriino’s Somerso shoe {from the Modern Classics collection} to really get a feel for them and see what they were made off.

The Arrival

When we received the Somersos, we knew what we held right away. The box-like packaging, the unmistakable new-shoe smell, had us excited as we ripped it open. Who doesn’t like opening wrapped boxes?

The Shoe Test

Now, to the shoes. Jet black, with a rubber white sole. A heavy shoe, but not difficult to bear; the weight was comforting. The shoe itself looked gorgeous, and was a nice blend of formal and fun. We felt it was smart enough to wear to a function or event, yet comfortable and relaxed enough to don when just stepping out to meet a friend.

Even after days of being dragged around Delhi {and a few weary, late nights out drinking} the Somerso stayed strong and never bit into our feet. It is a resilient and durable shoe, but will definitely require a good cleaning now and again to keep that nice, black sheen.

What Else We Liked

Considering how comfortably {literally} our test with the Somerso went, we’re interested in knowing how the other shoes in the Dameriino line would hold up.

They’ve just launched a brand new collection, The Essentials, and a pair from this line would be a worthy addition to any man’s shoe closet. As the white sneaker trend refuses to die down, we think that the Tranquillo would look as great with a pair of linen shorts as with a crisp, navy suit.

We’re drawn to pairs from their previous collections, as well, like the slightly more formal Carrero {Modern Classics} and the really comfortable looking Noir {Lofty Comfort}.

Parting Thoughts

The design on the front seemed an homage to rancher or cowboy boots. Every time we entered a tavern in the evening to wet our whistles, it made us feel like we were gunslingers in a modern Spaghetti Western.
