We've always been open about our love for Dastkar; the gorgeous handicrafts, fantastic food, and cultural entertainment from all over the country make it a delightful way to spend your day. At this year's edition of The Winter Mela, there will be loads of handmade things for sale. For seasonal reasons, we recommend you check out their lovely handwoven winter items like scarves, sweaters, and knitwear from all over the country.
In case you're looking for things beyond winter weaves, they also have home decor products like mats and crockery, as well as organic skincare products and even natural snacks and food items. You can also score amazing deals and pick up vegetable-printed apparel such as kurtas, shirts, or even juttis, and beautiful handmade accessories, especially if you love to dress boho and desi.
They've also got some regional food stalls at the food court, and entertainment lined up in the evenings. And honestly, we can't think of a better way to spend a cold day under the winter sun in Delhi than shopping and eating all things local.
Some of our favourite finds this year are Use Me (everything upcycled), Artisan Palate (natural salts, seasonings, and dips), MaPani (all-natural beauty products), Kuninda (organic flavourings for mustards and vinegars), Banerii (bags, wallets, terracotta jewellery, and lamps), and Sirohi (featuring Charpai style weaving on home decor items like organizers, furniture, and bags).
