When you have a traffic problem, a pollution problem and a heat problem to deal with, the bigger picture often becomes slightly hazy. But not anymore! Delhi has been recognised as one of the 50 future-ready cities in the world. But what does that even mean?
Well, it seems we’re pros at “embracing technology to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing and globalised future,” according to a report by Dell. However, according to this article by NDTV, we’re currently ranking 44 on a list topped by San Jose and San Francisco.
According to the report, the Future-Ready Economies Model “scores large, high-growth global metropolitan areas based on attributes that enable people and organisations to access new tools and ideas that deliver better connectivity, better economic performance and a greater ability to attract talent.” And when evaluated on the basic of human capital, infrastructure and commerce, Delhi makes the cut.
We’re looking forward to some excellent initiatives that will make our city {and nation!} digitally-enabled and competent.
