The Delhi Queer Pride 2015 is tomorrow! This year it'll be held on November 29th at 2pm, kicking off at Tolstoy Marg, CP.
The Pride is a parade for diversity, acceptance, solidarity and resistance. Here's inviting members, allies and supporters of the queer communities to march together to inspire, educate, support and promote an open, free and accepting society, and be able to sow the seeds for a more fair, less prejudiced nation.
The parade is also a silent demand for anti-discrimination policies, a reminder that they're not a marginalised community, and a call to action to be able to ensure zero harassment of all minorities, whether sexual, religious or gender-based. In their words, "to say loud and clear that we will not be criminalised in our own land".
As an Indian citizen, no matter what your background, race, religion, sexual preference or colour, we're asking you to show up, support and fight for equality.
Meanwhile, go for the super-fun Picnic With Pride! Post the parade, there will also be a Delhi International Queer Theatre and Film Festival. Don't miss it.
