Wondering what an automated restaurant is? Well, at these restaurants, you place your order on a tab and a bot brings you your food via a conveyor belt (yep, bots are officially taking over life).

If this sounds interesting, you’re in luck because Delhi just got its first automated restaurant – Tanoshii Trail in GK1. Opened almost a month ago, Tanoshii is a restaurant serving pan-Asian favourites like dim sums, sushi, wok-tossed pork, noodles and the like. Just like at most automated restaurants, you place an order on the tabs in each seating booth here, and your food’s brought to you fresh and warm through the conveyor belt. While the concept of minimum human contact is interesting, you should also drop by the restaurant for their stellar Asian food.

We haven’t managed to check out the restaurant yet, but from what we hear, Tanoshii Trail’s sushi (hello, Assorted Nigiri Platter) is a crowd favourite. If we were you, we’d also order their Coconut Pancake, but not sure how we feel about the Betel Leaf Fried Ice Cream on the menu.

Nonetheless, be sure to drop by the restaurant for how novel the concept of automated restaurants is to India, and for the sheer variety of sushi they have on their menu.
