Keeping It Casual
Delifrance has planted itself on a pretty big space at one end of Cyber Hub {right opposite Yum Yum Cha} and has a pretty sweet outdoor seating – we’re loving the wicker swing seats, especially in the monsoon.
The interiors are a mix of high and low seating, comprising comfy couch seats as well as bar stools. It’s an ideal place to step in for a quick cuppa and catch up with a friend.
We Want To Baguette All
We started our mini hogging sesh with a sandwich. They’ve got about eight varieties and you can choose what bread your fillings are laid out on: There’s white and multi cereal brown baguettes, multi cereal ciabatta and croissant. We opted for the tuna mayonnaise in a brown baguette and we would like to have this for lunch more often. The tuna tasted fresh and the accompanying jalapenos added that much needed hint of spice.
We followed this with a portion of fresh pesto pasta with chicken which was pretty perfect in its preparation – we especially liked the addition of cherry tomatoes.
There’s a lot to choose from off the menu but if you want our opinion, stick to the bread-y options—that’s where their forte lies. Their butter croissant, cinnamon roll, almond croissant and especially the pain au chocolat {pop this in the micro till the chocolate melts, for best results} were all stellar but the desserts didn’t quite hit the sweet spot for us. The flan was tasty but the thick outer surface was a bit off-putting.
So, We're Saying...
If you like your bread and butter, do pay Delifrance a visit. They’re doing some great things with their dough.
