Wake & Bake At Qutab Plaza’s Newest Dessert Shop & Bakery

Fresh out of the oven, The Desserts Factory opened its doors in Gurgaon a week ago – bread, pastries, tea cakes and ice cream rolls, they do it all.

Run by a husband-wife duo, Akshay and Divyanksha Babbar, The Desserts Factory is a food dream realised. Their menu is a sweet treat for dessert-lovers – there’s a counter lined with mini apple pies, decadent truffle pastries and cute li’l tarts {lemon and chocolate}.

However, it’s their selection of breads that had us spending all our money. Baked in-house, choose from focaccia, brown, multigrain or white bread. They’re priced super reasonably as well; we picked up a pack of brown bread slices for INR 50.

The bakery also has a stone counter for hand-rolled ice creams and a selection of Italian Gelato {prepared fresh every day, using the choicest ingredients}. However, what caught out eye was the Bun-Gee – a Harvest bun is split in the middle and stuffed with a scoop of gelato {we’d recommend the Italian Biscotto} and lots of toppings like sprinkles and marshmallows. Try this for novelty – it’s a fun twist on the ice cream sandwich, in fact it’s a lot closer to a burger.
