For every book lover, it's a dream to stumble upon an unread book or an unknown author. Destino Bookstore — an online bookstore offers just that, and perhaps more. Founded by Apoorva and Shariya, Destino started out as an Instagram page. The duo literally started the brand with INR 500 and look how far they've come. Curating various titles and genres, Destino offers three packages — White, Yellow, Blue (priced INR 199 upwards). These packages come with a book, a bookmark, and a postcard. While the Blue one comes with a new book, White and Yellow come with preloved books. The best part about the Blue Package is it encourages upcoming Indian writers.
The store is also home to beautiful bookmarks, postcards, and button badges. Destino started out with sending bookmarks handcrafted by Shariya and a local artist Isha. Soon, they intend to collaborate with several artists to curate and sell their products. If we were you, we'd be totally hoarding the postcards, which are also designed in-house. Some of their past books include writers like Imogen Parker, Ian Rankin, AD Miller, James Patterson, Graham Greene, etc.
Destino dreams of opening up a book cafe in the future but as of now, they're working towards making the store a one-stop-shop for a bibliophile. From books and bookmarks to totes and letters — the store will surely have a lot of merch for us to load up on.
