Mehrauli’s got an all-new bar that’s serving up some delicious middle eastern food with a modern twist! Diablo is the newest place that’s opened up among the fanciest of stores and restaurants in the area and what we love about them is their chic-meets-devil interiors (and, well, also the cocktails).
As soon as you walk in, you can’t miss the gorgeous interiors; gargoyles at the entrance, a ghost bar that’s unlike any other we’ve seen, you’re definitely in for a new experience at Diablo. We love the contrast between the indoor and outdoor seating; where the outdoor seating area is modern and clean with a lot of white space, the indoor seating screams millennial pink and eclectic furniture that just seems to go together so well.
As for the food, we’re not ashamed to say we definitely over ordered. And honestly? We don’t care because we loved every bit of it! On their menu, they’ve got tons of our favourite Mediterranean salads, mezze dishes from hummus to spanakopita, pides, kebabs and so much more. You can’t miss trying their unbelievably good black hummus that comes with freshly made pita that you’ll keep reaching for. We also recommend skipping the hassle of getting lots of smaller dishes and just going big with the kebap platter that comes with a mix of chicken, prawns, fish all cooked to perfection.
But we can’t talk about Diablo without mentioning the cocktails! All of their cocktails are named after demons so you can take your pick depending on how devilish you’re feeling (or whatever you’re in the mood for). We had the Devil’s Garden G&T which came in a HUGE glass with rose petals and some nitrogen magic for theatrics.
We’re definitely going to keep going back to make our way through the entire bar menu.
