What Makes It Awesome

Located in Mehrauli's Ambawatta One Complex, Ditas is a restaurant that's perfect for date nights with bae, a family brunch or even for just drinks with your crew (very few restaurants are actually great for all three, no?).

The restaurant has a small outdoor seating area where you'll find us on good weather days. They also have a lavish bar for all the liquor enthusiasts, and the indoor area looks beautiful with its dark blue chairs, stunning tiles, and marble white tables. We found ourselves one of the corner seats near the window, and kicked off our meal here.

For starters, we recommend that you try their Crackling Pork Belly Pops that come with a yum soy glaze, and roasted sesame seeds that add a nice crunch. However, it is Ditas' main course that made our meal a joyous one. We tried two things - the Wild Mushroom Risotto and the Peri Peri Grilled Chicken. If you're someone who absolutely loves mushroom, order their risotto without thinking twice. It's creamy, comforting, and of course, is loaded with mushroom so you cannot complain about anything really. As for the chicken, they do a thoroughly flavoured one that's grilled to perfection and served with the creamiest mashed potatoes and grilled veggies.

If you do manage to save some space for dessert (we recommend that you do), try Ditas' Chocolate Caramel Tart with popcorn ice cream. We have to admit that breaking the tart with a spoon was a bit difficult, but the tart's hazelnut mousse filling tastes smooth and absolutely divine. The mousse, combined with the ice cream (it actually tastes like popcorn, probably even better!), the cocoa crumble, and the passion fruit pate (or jelly) is everything we'd want to have for dessert as often as possible.

Now, plan that long overdue catch-up with your friends & give Ditas the chance to impress you. Most likely, you'll go back home with a happy tummy, and lot of pretty pictures (oh yes, the place and their desserts are highly Insta-worthy).

What Could Be Better

We weren't a big fan of Ditas' Old Fashioned as it seemed a bit too strong on the whiskey (as compared to the other ingredients).
