It's that magical time of year again when we gear up to light up every corner for the most celebrated festival—Diwali! And Delhi during Diwali is an absolute visual treat. The city sparkles with lights and homes, streets and everything else decorated to perfection. Everyone is pumped for the endless get-togethers, food, gifting, being dressed to the tens and of course, feasting on thalis overflowing with sweets.

And oh, let's not forget the joy of making a rangoli, proudly showing it off to every guest (who, yes, will probably bring Soan Papdi, but it's the thought that counts).

While all this screams "festivity", this is also the season for vibrant melas and fairs popping up all over the city. They're packed with delicious food, thrilling rides, and exciting cultural performances. With so many to choose from, we've rounded up the top Diwali melas in Delhi NCR that you absolutely can't miss this year!

Dastkar's Festival Of Light

Dastkar: Festival Of Light

Shop at Dastkar for all things colourful and festive. Not that we need an excuse to support local artisans and homegrown brands, but we're sure that when you see the handloom bed covers, sheets, kantha embroidery sarees, chanderi silks, kurtas with block prints, embroidery and more, you'll want it all. Plus, accessories, such as leather bags that are hand-painted, handcrafted juttis, chunky necklaces and thread art earrings will make your festive outfits look even better. For specific Diwali shopping, check out the diyas, lamps, door hangings with flowers, baskets and boxes to give gifts in, as well as a few stalls with all-natural and organic bath, body and beauty products.

Blind School Diwali Mela 2025

Blind School Diwali Mela

The ever-popular Diwali Mela held by the Blind Relief Association is back in 2025. For us, it's a trip down the nostalgic road as we have been regulars for years. The Blind Relief Association Diwali Bazaar 2025 is a week-long event featuring an endless number of stalls with vendors from across the country. There's women's clothing, with sky as the limit for designs and fabrics. There's also loads of soft furnishings and decor for the home. Don't miss on the ready made snacks and dry fruit stalls for sorting your Diwali gifts. Of course, there's food stalls to recharge you after your shopping spree but skip them if you want to because they are a tad overpriced. Yet, the highlight remains to be the Blind Relief Association’s colourful candles and diyas, which were the primary objective for the event to be initiated over four decades ago. You can expect the Blind Relief Association stall to have scented candles, pretty diyas, gift bags, and envelopes, and this time around, they will also have organisers, ring bags, laptop bags, sling bags, palazzo pants, and dining sets.
