Kasauli, a small and charming hill town tucked away in Himachal Pradesh, is known for its gabled colonial-era houses and orchards. It has always been a go-to for folks nearby, either for a quick weekend escape or as a pit stop en route to higher hill stations like Shimla and Kasol. Surrounded by pinecone trees and British Raj-era architecture, Kasauli is perfect for a day or two of downtime, especially if you're staying in a treehouse-style cabin nestled in nature. Why not longer? Well, the cantonment town isn’t too expansive and doesn’t offer a lot beyond its picturesque views and calm.

About Dochi
When in Kasauli, there’s one quaint little pizzeria and coffee house that everyone will tell you not to miss. It’s basically the #1 local café, the kind of place that makes your trip feel incomplete without a visit. And that is...drumrolls please...Dochi — Kasauli’s first wood-fired artisanal pizzeria.
Nestled in the heart of the town (honestly, the only part you’ll be exploring), Dochi is just a short walk from the main parking lot. From there, you’ll pass the iconic Christ Church and the Clock Tower, the oldest in the area. Once you've soaked in the old-school charm, head straight to Dochi for some seriously good pizzas.
Food
Their wood-fired artisanal pizzas are made from scratch using dough fermented for 24 to 72 hours, crafted only with premium Italian 00 flour. They even offer vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. If you're travelling with kids, they’ve got kid-friendly pizzas too (read: no chilli oil, basil, or red paprika drama).
Want something to drink? Their beverage menu has everything from coffee and iced teas to indulgent shakes and hot chocolate, all guaranteed to outshine whatever you've had before.
Ambience
Add to the good food a cosy space with exposed brick walls, cute windowpanes, and the soothing presence of nature (and friendly doggos), and you’ll find it hard to leave. Right now, they’ve got cafés in Kasauli and Chandigarh. And I'm honestly manifesting a pan-India takeover, because more people need to experience this kind of greatness!
Timings: 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM, closed on Thursdays
Prices: Pizzas start at INR 675 (veg), INR 875 (non-veg); cold beverages start at INR 150, and hot beverages start at INR 140
