ChiaroscuroThe first thing that comes to mind when we talk of Chiaroscuro are the colours {Raisin, Tomato, Slate, Lotus, Pine, Cobalt and more}. Ranging from cute miniature bag charms to the huge totes that can fit a dead body {we kid}, Chiaroscuro coins specific names for each piece {Annabelle, Emma, Gigi, Stella and more}. This only highlights how each piece is like an individual with special characteristics.

Be it the intricately embossed lion head or the Calcutta-inspired hand-pulled rickshaw printed on leather jholas, we love almost everything in their collection.

Massimo ItalianoA leather boutique from G-town, this is a gallery where you can pick up stylish bags. They do have a store in HKV and you can order over Whatsapp as well. Catering only to women, the place also does jackets and shoes. We love their wallets and clutches especially the ones adorned with jacquard and Rajasthani mirror work. And the best part? They won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Java PlumWith contemporary hand-crafted wallets, shoulder bags, slings, office bags and totes, Java Plum focusses on grain, texture and most of all, durability. They source leather from all over the world, but primarily from Italy. In fact they do a range in naked leather, which has no treatment whatsoever. We love almost all their stuff but we are super excited about their new tech organisers.

CordCord has been on our wish-lists for a while now. They do some amazing prints on canvas and leather bags and their design aesthetic is clean and minimal. We have been great fans of their Hemicycle bag {the shape itself is lust-worthy} and the classic black leather tote. If you’re in the market for something tiny and cute, we’d recommend the Flyleaf Sling or their envelope laptop sleeves.
