Winner of Apple App Store's Best of 2015 and the Google Play Design Award 2016, the Kitchen Stories recipes app connects food lovers from around the globe through its engaging content and has opened up a world of food possibilities for us in the short time we have been using it. From sharing our own yellow dal recipe (it isn't easy to get it right) through its super easy interface to learning the recipe for manakish (Lebanese flatbreads), we have had a lot of fun and a ton of foodgasms.
The Kitchen Stories app allows us to share recipes in a lot of different ways - we can type the steps or take photos of each step or put in whole videos as well. The process is very easy and actually enables us to be very creative with our content, something we're suckers for.
In terms of recipes, the content is pretty endless. There are salads, vegan dishes, Asian, Italian, desserts, quick recipes, 5-ingredient recipes, cocktails, low carb meals, and they're all divided neatly into categories. We can save these recipes in our virtual cookbooks, as well. The app also has useful kitchen tips and food articles to make us continuously grow in our food journey.
What we like best about the app is that all of this content is free. They do have a paid version, with unlimited access to web recipes, cooking in an optimized cooking mode, and access across all devices, priced at INR 1,899 per year or INR 389 per month. The yearly plan comes with a 14-day trial period and that should be enough to make up your mind about it. We're good with the free version, for now.
