The current global pandemic has altered our eating habits to a great extent. We're moving more towards homemade food, prepared using locally procured ingredients than packaged meals. Homemade bread has been in the spotlight for quite a while now. And if (like me) you haven't had the will to perfect a sourdough then this micro-bakery will be your solace.
Headquartered in Delhi, Earthy Grains is a micro-bakery that makes small batches of handmade sourdough bread. These folks have been baking bread even before it transformed into a "Quarantine Food Trend". With so many different kinds of Sourdoughs on their menu, it's safe to say that Earthy Grains has undoubtedly aced the bread game. Up until now, I didn't even know there could be so many variants of a Sourdough. Their Vermont Sourdough is made up of 70% organic bread flour and 30% organic whole wheat. Roasted Garlic Sourdough, Red Paprika & Cheddar Sourdough, Whole Wheat Sourdough with Seasame Seeds, Turmeric & Ginger Sourdough are some of the more seasoned options. Their menu is versatile and keeps changing on a weekly basis. Apart from exceptional looking (and tasting) Sourdoughs, you can also order Vegan Banana Breads, Sourdough Crackers, Foccacia and other baked goods.
You can keep a track of the weekly menus on their Instagram page (@earthygrains). It's a pre-order Google Form which lists down all the menu items and their prices individually. Or visit their website. They deliver twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. So make sure you place orders on the rest of the days before 5 pm. They're currently taking orders for South Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon.
