Ten-Second Takeaway
Ek Bar’s new winter menu is a beautiful balance of cocktails and good food. So quench your thirst and satiate those raging taste buds, all in one afternoon/evening.
Fuel First
To start with, there’s a new thali on the block and it’s super lit. Superbly paired with most of the India-inspired drinks, the Kebab Thali is all the goodness of Achari Chicken Tikka, Mutton Cutlet, Chicken and Lemongrass Seekh Kebab and Mutton Galouti Kebab - yes, all that!
The Granola Bar {which is basically jhal mudi topped with sweet and sour charred fruits, served with homemade buttermilk sorbet} and mushroom patê, cooked with saffron and spices, served with walnut taftan are super must-have.
Carnivores can delight themselves with the Crumb Fried Minced Mutton Cutlet, seasoned with Indian spices and served with kasundi, Belgian Pork Short Ribs and the Amritsari Kekda {crispy fried soft shell crab served with popcorn khichdi, sweet lime pickle and papad}.
Tank Up
As much as we’d like to say that Ek Bar is all about nouvelle food, it’s a bar after all. So pair your meal with heady, happy, ‘desh’ inspired cocktails.
Try the Kala Amritsari, spiked with vodka, homemade plum syrup, lime and egg white and our all-time favourite from this season, the Degree Kaa- gold rum, bitters, coffee syrup and tonic. Naice!
So, We’re Saying…
Ek Bar is a bar all right but the food is the perfect blend of nostalgia and a view of the future. We won’t call it fusion because it’s too hearty for that, but futuristic for sure.
