I’m obsessed with collecting nail paints - from pastel shades to deeper plums to black and white, I’ll try out every colour available because it’s just so much fun. I’d heard about Ellement Co.’s gel nail paints but never got to try them since I don’t have a UV lamp for it but they recently introduced their range of regular nail paints called 9-Free Breathable Lacquer that they claim won’t chip for 7-10 days.
I got 4 shades - a mustard yellow called Sundaze, neon green called Green Apple Soda, hot pink Cotton Candy and their base coat. I put on the yellow shade on a Saturday, which needed 2 coats, and my first chip came 8 days later on Sunday even though I’d been going about my regular routine and not paying any extra attention to my nails.
The 9-Free basically means they don’t contain 9 chemicals found in most nail paints (some of which I’ve never even heard of, much less be able to spell), and they’re also vegan and cruelty-free. They did have a strong smell though, which lingers for a day.
They also have some nail care products like buffers, cuticle care kits, oils and more that I didn’t try but if you’re going all out for your at-home manicure, you must check them out. If you have access to a UV lamp, their Just A Minute Gel line will stay on for 3 weeks. Try it!
