As the sluggish 2020 drew towards an end, we made a desperate travel plan, realizing it was more than a year since we stepped out.
With Covid looming on our heads, we wanted a "safer option", which would mean no or very less crowd. Also, we needed to tag along our furbaby! And we needed to see snowfall!
With these prerequisites, we finalized on Possiville in Hallan, Himachal Pradesh. It was a long road trip from Noida, but it was oh-so-worth-it!
Possiville is a backpackers' heaven but you can avail private rooms as well depending on availability. This place is located on tranquil Hallan mountain, far away from the maddening tourist destination of Manali.
I'd highly recommend this place if :
1. You looking for a laid-back staycation.
2. You want to experience solitude.
3. You wish to take along your doggos (it has its own in house dog host, Maya!)
4. You want to have majestic views of snowcapped mountains.
5. You want to have a warm, friendly & helpful host.
6. You want to hang out in their own apple orchards.
7. You want to go on long walks without the hustle & bustle of touristy vehicles.
8. You want simple home cooked meals.
9. You wish to visit a place for an extended duration
Depending on the season, they also provide options of trekking, camping & local sightseeing. All this without burning major hole in your pockets! The amenities are basic & you'd often find yourself in the company of young solo or group travelers. I'd suggest skipping this place as your option if traveling with Kids.
