The newly opened – Liquid Sanctuary at Meherchand Market in New Delhi offers flotation therapy with epsom salts that feels like a hug from heaven. This therapy, supposedly leeches out toxins from the body and lets your body absorb magnesium from the water, helping you relax and unwind better.

Relax Like Never Before

Epsom salts {basically magnesium sulphate} are used to soothe muscle aches, reduce bloating and in some cases, increase magnesium in people who have a deficiency. During a flotation therapy, an individual floats on very shallow, purified water that is packed with high levels of epsom salts.

During the flotation therapy at the Liquid Sanctuary, I was asked to put on a pair of earplugs and was warned against splashing about in the water & rubbing my face to prevent the water from getting into {and stinging} my eyes. They play some music for 10 minutes, then there’s silence for 40 minutes followed by another 10 minute music to wake you up. The water which was a foot or two deep was pleasantly warm and jelly-like. Slowly I let myself go, stopped moving and it almost felt like I was lying down under a tree gazing at the sky – but better, and with my eyes closed. I was in a warm, gooey, comfortable cocoon that felt like my safe place. Without even trying, I was meditating. My aches felt soothed and my skin looked clearer after a soak and I did not even realise that an hour had gone by.

So, We're Saying..

For most people, epsom salt therapy is like a giant meditative pill in a warm pool, which takes away aches and pains, soothes your mind, and makes your skin look amazing. With great results that are sure to amaze, we’re signing up for a whole month. What about you?
