Everest Kitchen in Pahadganj, right above Hotel Krishna, is the place you visit after work during the winters for some good old chilling, complete with a panoramic view of the hustle bustle of Paharganj and an expansive menu to stuff yourself up for the night.

Who Is It For?

Pretty much everyone we can think of. If you’re not from Delhi and find yourself looking for a place to serve as a base for all your capital hopping excursions, Hotel Krishna has ample space to accommodate you {do call in advance, though}. For those staying here, just head to their rooftop cafe.

Must Try

Pancakes, Thalis {and all of their fresh fruit juices}

How Was Your Experience?

Everest’s rooftop is my go-to for whenever I’m feeling like curling up with a book and a cup of chai in the evenings, and with the full view of the sunset on the side, it’s more than worth making your way here through the crowded Paharganj market.

The staff is friendly, and will often indulge you in chit chat about the travelling season and far-off destinations they’ve received guests from. You’re likely to find a lot of travellers chilling about during this time, as is generally the case with Paharganj. Make some friends or just take a table in the terrace corner and aimlessly stare into the sunset, if you feel like it.

I’ve never had any complaints about the food here, and the menu is the usual varied affair you’d find at backpacker hotels around the country. Just go for the veg thali if you feel particularly hungry, or just a cup of coffee and pancakes for the munchies.

Anything Else?

Parking {and driving in general} may be a problem in Paharganj, so we’d advise parking it at the metro station or New Delhi railway station and walking to the place.
